Anomaly Found… Brévent Closed Down

Subject: gondola lift Chamonix – Planpraz (Brévent area)

Dear customers, dear partners,
Following daily control at the end of operation, we noticed an anomaly on the pulley of the Planpraz gondola.
After communicating the defects noted to the manufacturer, we made the decision as a safety measure to suspend the operation of the gondola starting tomorrow morning, Thursday, August 23 and until the result of the manufacturer’s expertise.

The Planpraz – Brévent cable car remains open as well as the Bergerie Planpraz and Panoramique Brévent restaurants.
The area of Planpraz remains accessible by footpaths from Chamonix and from la Flégère.

We apologize for the inconvenience and make every effort to ensure timely opening.
