A few of us got together and thought how can we do our little bit to reduce pollution and help to develop the cultivation of growing vegetables and fruits in the valley.
So we came up with the idea that every year we should have a Harvest Festival with some prizes for best vegetables and various other categories associated with creating foods using fruits or vegetables from one’s own vegetable patch. We would like to try to get as much knowledge from locals who have been growing and pass on pearls of wisdom to some less green fingered but enthusiastic participants. It is meant to be a fun experience and we would like to have an invention test on the day where a few chefs compete as to how to make best use of the harvest.
We hope this is something of interest and we are open to ideas about how to develop this as an annual event. Good luck, there are some great prizes on offer.
We’ve recruited Thali CHX to put together a vegetarian menu for everyone to enjoy during the days festivities.
Food will be served from around 1 p.m. until it’s gone and this is what you can expect…
