Snow Storm Imminent… Stock Up On Canned Goods, This Could Be A BIG One!
Team Planets eye in the sky has spotted a large SNOW storm on the horizon. This week-end there will be what we call the “perfect storm” a westerly warm front that is going to act like a barrier, then a very cold front descending down from the Artic (chez Santa). The warm front will keep the chilly wintry weather over head for the better part of next week (starting from Sunday) and possibly longer than that!
Chamonix has a forcasted 115cms at 3000 meters, this hopefully will be the start of snowmageddon 2017/18. There will be a substantial amount of snow down to the valley floor.
This snow fall will hopefully enable lots of ski resorts to open ahead of schedule, meaning a longer season for the Mont Blanc Massif.
If this storm plays out as it should we could see Verbier opening in a week!
