Whether Stuck In a White Out Or Under a Slow Moving Grey Cloud, Theres Still Plenty Of Fun To Be Had In The Chamonix Valley.

Get inverted (indoors still counts!)

Chamonix boasts two different climbing gyms, one being a bouldering gym in the the main sports centre Richard Bozon.  The other being in Les Houches Mont Blanc Escalade, this is a much larger gym with fixed ropes.  Don’t worry if you don’t have your own equipment you can rent everything on site.

Treat yourself to a spa day!

One of the the best ways to relax…  from steaming Turkish baths to roasting Swedish saunas or even take a dip into a Arctic plunge pool! Chamonix has some fantastic spa options one of them being Hotel Refuge Les Aiglons, here they offer a real hidden gem.  Two coarse fancy dining lunch with full access to there newly renovated spa complex, all for less than 30€! The second recommendation is Le Morgane, This Hotel Spa complex offers a completely covered underground spa which is handy when the heavens open.  But if its snowing out side nothing is more beautiful than swimming in the heated pool with snow falling all around you.

Grab the pop corn!

Chamonix’s Cinema Vox is the best Cinema Team Planet have seen in a ski town.  Its got the perfect size screen with great audio to match, the prices are also very reasonable.  No need to worry Luke Skywalker will also speak English as there is original versions of all international films. Check out the Program here!

From Bowling to Mini Golf this building does it all!

Easy to find Bowling alley in Chamonix Sud located @ the Chamonix Sud bus stop, this place is a kids dream they can offer soo many different activities.  The ten pin bowling is fun with a great arcade and bar for the adults, upstairs there’s a mini-golf that is super cool with little windmills and bridges! If your a pool (American or English) or maybe even Snooker fan this place is for you with quite literally a dozen tables to choose from.

Huge dazzling crystals and Olympic dreams!

Chamonix has a couple of fantastic museums right in the town centre, the first being Espace Tairraz.  This is one of the best Crystal museums you’ll find anywhere in the world, from tiny shiny rare gems that wash up in the river. Or huge heavy crystals that where cut out of the side of Mont Blanc by some knarly Cristalliers.  The Musée Alpin is also a must, This place is full of fantastic treasures from times past.  It has many artifacts from hundred’s of years ago when Chamonix had glaciers rolling down to the town centre and a dozen goats!
