This Monday whilst taking a relaxing afternoon stroll, two women came across a man in desperate need of help.
The man in his fifties was found slumped lifeless in the snowy meadows of Lavancher, close to the cross country piste, the ladies quickly alerted the Chamonix emergency services.
It quickly came apparent that his situation was extremely serious with only minutes left to get the man to hospital, a Chamonix PGHM helicopter was scrambled to the scene.
The Chamonix PGHM reported the man in his fifties was obviously very intoxicated and could have died of hypothermia if he had not been found by these two women.
