The Grands Montets top cable car will be working again as of Saturday the 27th.
Its been a tough month for the engineers at the Grands Montets, Storm Elinor hit hard with wind speeds of up to 220 km/h plus literally tons of ice & snow buildup on the cables.
This pulled and pushed the famous Chamonix ski lift quite a bit and enough to do some serious damage, but we’re glad to say that after around 3 weeks of hard work and not at all in the easiest of conditions the top ticket will be open as of this Saturday.
Tons & tons of white gold have been blasted at the station for a very long time, at one point it was hard to make out the new stairs leading down to the glaciers edge! So if you intend to head up this Saturday don’t take any unnecessary risks and always be well equipped.
Why not even split the cost and grab a guide for the day… Check Out ROPED UP
