Sunday 3rd June 2018, a woman fell 300m to her death whilst climbing the north side of the Tour Ronde (3,792m)
The woman was climbing the famous Tour Ronde north face accompanied by a guide, the guide also fell but survived and alerted the PGHM Chamonix.
The accident happened near the summit, in an area of steep unforgiving ice & rock.
The local guide was airlifted to Sallanches hospital where he is in a stable condition. The Chamonix PGHM have said that the guide is extremely lucky to be alive after such a fall on such a fearsome mountain.
