Freezing temperatures as low as -25° set to hit Chamonix this week.
The North Eastern winds are responsible for this weeks dramatic drop in temperatures, bringing day time temperatures down to -10° with night time lows of -25°. Skiers are being advised to wear an extra thermal layer and stop periodically for a Vin Chaud.
Good news for the end of the week… 30cm of fresh snow forecasted to fall next weekend.
Team Planet Top Tip: If your finding the temperatures up the hill to to be a bit too much stay well clear of the Tete de Balme Chairlift, icy winds cut across this chairlift making it a wee bit chilly on the nicest of days.
