Monday morning saw the PGHM get an early start.
The call came in for Three Slovakians that were trapped on the Dome de Gouter, they had been surrounded by bad weather and in the end took the decision to stay and ride the storm out. They were air lifted down to Sallanches hospital with two of the men suffering from frostbite.
With colder weather than usual for September, there has been numerous reports of frostbite in the high mountains.
