Since last year the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc has been investing in snow cannon technology in order to create a snow sure resort. This current project is to bring a lot more snow (hopefully not needed) to the bottom pistes of the Grands Montets. They are sucking the water straight out of the Grands Montets Glacier, then rocketing it up into the air to create those tiny white snowflakes for us to fly through! Ten cannons will be put in at a cost of 1,44 million euros.
