The Derby was a straight line, top-to-bottom race.

There were many teams from all over the world, each team would consist of 3 skiers that had to start together.

The course was simple (in idea!) Top Ticket GM go through Lognan mid-station together and finish at Les Marmottons brasserie together.

Team Cretton’s best time was 5 minutes 35 seconds!  The race was fairly dangerous but not nearly as bad as the preceding days, when the local hotshots were out practicing, some of which could do well over 100,000 feet in one day!

Unfortunately the race was canceled due to a death and many serous injuries.

Missed out?  Dont worry the derby de la Meije (La Grave) still continues to this day.
