Situated  at 1930m the Emosson dam is a serous engineering feat, Located 17klm from Chamonix in the stunning Swiss village of Finhaut.  Getting there couldn’t be easier with a fantastic railway and bus service or why not try out the on site funicular? The funicular is a great way to see the surrounding valleys.  The dam dates back to 1925 when the first smaller dam was built, there after adding new segments of wall every so often.

There also a chance to walk around and check out some Dinosaur footprints! this is pretty cool especially for the little ones. It was also on your screens recently as a stage finish for the Tour de France. There is a cool on-site restaurant with a fantastic sunny terrace.  There really is too many things to see & do up on top, in the winter the road up is closed so makes for a great ski tour and in the summer months its on to Le Vélo!
